I guess y'all thought I had died or something. I mean, almost a whole week without a posting? What am I thinking?

Part of me feels like I should offer an apology, but to whom? I'm just doing this for fun anyway. So thanks for checking back here every day, but I haven't had anything to say this week. Really.

OK, so I'm a little defensive about this. I probably could have posted, but I've been sufficiently busy this week that blogging hasn't been near the top of my list.

And I'm fine with that. As Hugh says, "If you don't post, you're toast," but hey, this is just a hobby, and I felt like taking a break.

I have been reading here and there and the blogosphere during my hiatus (though not as frequently as usual). A few thoughts:

Specter? For the love of all that is good, please let it be dropped.

Marines? America's finest. Kevin Sites should be ashamed.

Clinton? Fine, whatever. Yeah, the library looks like a double-wide trailer, but who cares what he says about impeachment? It's his own library, and we remember what happened.

So, for me, it's back into my cocoon of stress until the end of the semester. Curse these papers and looming exams!

I wish I could promise more than a smattering of irregular postings over the next few weeks, but I really can't. I'll do my best, though- thanks for reading.

And the sad part is, one day you'll look back at all those papers and think you never had it easier.

(I believe half of that's true, half of that's just my memory playing tricks on me.)

Don't worry. We'll be here when you get back up to full steam!

And by "taking a break" you really mean "still recovering from a hedonistic weekend in Death Valley after the officials cheated Alabama out of a victory against LSU", right?

Glad you're back, dude.

Haha...I was sitting at about ground level in the student section on the completely opposite side of the field when the "pass interference" happened. We were all stunned there was no flag because it was so blatantly obvious even to us. But hey, what can you do? We'll take our win and shut up about it. I'm glad the SEC at least issued an apology, whatever that's worth.
